Meet the Owner
Jill Gardner
Jill got her start in recruitment while in college working with Sodexo. She spent 3 years working in all facets of the HR department while working towards a degree in Industrial + Organizational Psychology.
In August of 2013 she found herself back in the hospitality industry working with The Inn at Little Washington where she was tasked with recruitment for the now, 3 Michelin star restaurant and longest running 5 star, 5 diamond property in the United States.
Through her connections at the Inn, Jill was led to a growing Washington, D.C. based restaurant group that was in need of a Recruiter as they were about to experience restaurant openings in new markets and needed to staff multiple locations. She spent a few years working with the founders of Matchbox and Ted's Bulletin before the company sold.
Jill used her experience and network to partner with industry leaders to launch The Talent Shop where she spent 6 years making placements with casual restaurants, bakeries, wineries, breweries, Inns, and Michelin star restaurants. She was able to assist some of the best in the industry and help her clients find candidates that assisted in their continued success. Jill sold her ownership in The Talent Shop and now takes on a limited number of searches at a time.
